Girls who love there lippy…
There has been a warning message circulating saying that Lead in Lipstick has been proven to cause cancer, it tells you to do a test along the lines of the following…
- Put some lipstick on your hand
- Use a gold ring to scratch on the lipstick
- If the lipstick colour changes to black – Then you know that this lipstick contains a large amount of lead!
However, I have since researched this and it appears to be a hoax! The UK has strict laws about the production of cosmetic products. Manufacturers cannot sell a new product to the public before it has been safety tested. http://www.cancerhelp.org.uk/help/?page=6338
